“Me and my family didn’t really expect much when we were searching for a brief, low-key surfing instruction session to wrap up our vacation. We found Nappy Dog and were very pleased with the rates for private lessons. But I can tell you how blown-our-of-the-water we were after our experience with Nappy Dog Surf. Me and my brother were just looking to learn some basics for about an hour on our last day of vacation but once we got in the water and began to learn how to use the board we just couldn’t stop. Chris gave us so many amazing tips and tricks that you could only get from a very experienced surfer. He is very kind, casual, and knows how to help first-timers get up on that board. He was so encouraging and helpful even though I was struggling. I have NEVER surfed before, it took me a while, but with Chris’s guidance and corrections and encouragement, my confidence built up and I made it to my feet and the amount of pure joy I felt at that moment was indescribable. My other brother saw how much fun we were having and joined in with us- he did amazing even though he has always been weary with trying new things. This was  probably one of the best experiences of our lives and I will NEVER forget the amazing time we had. You not only learn how to ride a wave, but also life skills including perseverance, emotional strength, and true diligence. I HIGHLY recommend Nappy Dog Surf, and will definitely be coming back next year when we’re back in Ponce Inlet. In my opinion, it is definitely worth the money and time, and SO much more.
